Aqua Essentials impress again.

At about 10 am yesterday I ordered a pack of JBL Seven Balls, JBL Symech filter wool and a bottle of Tropical Plant Nutrition (not the plus as I keep shrimp and too much nitrate is not good when keeping shrimp).  About 7pm last night I got the email telling me my order had been dispatched by 1st class post.

I thought to myself that no way could it get here today, even by first class.  I was wrong, 7:45 am this morning the doorbell rang and there was my order!

Again Aqua Essentials have proven themselves beyond compare when it comes to prompt delivery of orders.

Bad luck strikes again

Just my luck, the lime wood diffuser I ordered has a leak by the tube into it!  So instead of the CO2 bubbles coming out in a fine mist (which they did very briefly) they are coming out by the tubing in 3 larger bubbles.  Oh well, at least it’s fixable by buying a tube of aquarium silicon and putting a blob on it to seal it up.

Swell UK delivers

I’ve taken delivery of the bulb, fertiliser and reflector, that I ordered from Swell last week, this morning.  Unfortunately I had to get straight on the phone to them as the flourescent tube arrived in rather a smashed condition.  Their customer service person however was very pleasant and helpful, he took the details, asked how it had been packaged, and told me that they were sending a replacement which would arrive in the next 1 to 2 days.  No nonsense from him about having to return the smashed tube (I’ve had that from a different company in the past, it’s not easy as parcel companies wont accept broken glass, so last time it happened I never returned the tube and never got a replacement or my money back, that was a different mail order company though).

I also got an email just now, from their customer services, appologising for not responding to my email faster, and telling me my stuff had been dispatched, and giving me a Parcel Force tracking number.

So basically SwellUK have gone up a bit in my estimation.  I’d rate them even higher if they changed from using Parcel Farce for deliveries.  I’ve never had anything but bad experiences with them (failed deliveries, damaged deliveries, deliveries arriving more than a month later…..) and prefer not to use them if I can help it.

Oh well, here is hoping the replacement tube arrives intact.

Crossed fingers for the win!

It seems that crossing my fingers was the right thing to do!  Just had an email from SwellUK to tell me that my order has been dispatched!

Watch this space for pics of the tank once I have added the additonal tube.  I'm probably going to order a daylight one next week as well, bringing the total up to 2 T8s and 2 T5s.

Still waiting….

Well, I’m still waiting for my order from SwellUK for a T5 lamp and fertiliser!  My order is still listed as pending on their order tracker (order was placed 31 March) and they haven’t bothered to respond to the email I sent them on 3r April.  Not what I call great customer service at all.  Well, they have until thursday, then I am going to be getting onto the phone to them as I’m waiting on these things, having purchased a Hagen Glo T5 twin light unit off ebay that was delivered 2 days after ordering it!  It’s just sitting waiting as things stand! My tank needs more light!

Ahh well, fingers crossed they will get a shift on soon.
